Sirloin, Ribs and Veggies

My meal arrived in a couple boxes, and I moved everything to a plate so it would all fit in my tray. It had nothing to do with me trying to fake it like I made it at home. It My was a medium rare sirloin steak and barbecued ribs with two sides: seasonal vegetables and broccoli. The veggies were OK, and the steak was a little more done than o was hoping. However, the ribs were amazing!

Honey Garlic Chicken with Jasmine Rice

Honey Garlic Chicken with Jasmine Rice made in my Quick Cooker was tasty, but I think I would use chicken thighs next time like in the recipe. I seared chicken breasts for a few minutes on each side before adding the sauce (honey, garlic, soy sauce, ketchup and a blend of spices). I rinsed a cup of Jasmine Rice and added it to the ceramic pot with a cup of water.

Lasagna with Meat and Sauce

Dinner was in the oven when I made it home from work. Jennifer was baking Lasagna with Meat and Sauce just like her mom taught her to make. It was tastier than I remembered, but it was the same Stouffer’s finest we had earlier in the year. One slice was enough to top me off for the night.

Slow Cooker Roast

I worked from home today, and I could smell Jennifer’s Slow Cooker Roast with Veggies every time I left my home office. The beauty of a slow cooker is that you get to smell the flavors throughout the house for the day. The anticipation made me want to take off the lid and grab a nibble, but I know the lid needs to stay on or it’ll “never cook.”

White Chicken Chili to go

The White Chicken Chili was still pretty hot to sip on in the car. However, before long, the liquid was gone, and I was trying to figure out a way to suck the beans and chicken through the lid.

Japanese Night

Morgan planned tonight’s Japanese theme night. She was going to make Ramen noodles, but we talked her into upgrading it into yakisoba instead. I started the meal with an appetizer of Bacon-Wrapped Scallops (Thanks, Costco!) They weren’t as good as I had hoped, but I enjoyed them anyway. Morgan made us individual bowls of yakisoba….

Cold, Leftover Pizza

After eating too much at Sonic this afternoon on our way home from the Indiana High School Ethics Bowl, I wasn’t going to have anything to eat tonight. However, I didn’t want to let everyone down by not posting something. So, I had this little slice of cold, leftover pizza.

Domino’s Delivers

Johnathan, our Domino’s delivery driver, brought a Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich, which Jennifer and I split, eight Sweet Mango Habanero Wings, Parmesan Bread Twists, a Hand-Tossed Pizza with Ham and Pineapple on it and a Marbled Cookie Brownie for dessert.

Asian Chicken Drumsticks with Broccoli & Spiced Walnuts

We made Asian Chicken Drumsticks with Broccoli and Spiced Walnuts, and it was pretty easy to put together. I mixed all of the wet ingredients in a large bowl, tossed in the drumsticks in the sauce and baked for 25 minutes.
