Spent a long day of driving home from Michigan today. I’m so wiped out. Maybe it’s my age getting the best of me. Sweet dreams, friends.
Birthday feast
To celebrate my 50th birthday, we had a feast at my brother’s place. Great food, great company and a little less than great weather. Oh well, you can’t have everything. Thanks for everyone who made it special! E7/P3/M8/W201.4/S5951/WS72147/5/10
Last Pizza of my 40s
Made it to Muskegon and my mom treated us to pizza. I finished my last day of my 40s by hitting my step goal. I hit 12,995 for the day even with my drive. Overall 30/30, and in the last 30 days of my 40s, I logged 321,372 steps! E5/P2/M6/W201.r/S12995/WS77008/10/10
Quick Cooker Oktoberfest
I finally had a chance to make my family the Quick Cooker One-Pot Oktoberfest dinner. I had everything on hand except the BEER! Who would’ve imagined. After a quick trip being chauffeured to the liquor store by my driver-in-training, it was game on! I very much enjoyed the meal, but not everyone was a fan after hearing about how Sausage was made in school. Oh well, more for me!
Broccoli Bake
For dinner tonight, we had a Broccoli Chicken Pasta Bake.
Quick Chicken & Brussels Sprouts
We had planned on having our Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Thighs until we realized we forgot to thaw the chicken. Thankfully, our Quick Cooker was there to jump into action. It went from a solid block of ice to ready to eat in 15 minutes. We paired it with Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts for a great meal made at home.
Spaghetti Surprise!
When I arrived home from work, Jennifer and Sophie were already in the midst of making Spaghetti for dinner. It was a nice surprise.
Chicken Dinner
Tonight we had a Fried Chicken Dinner just like my mom used to give us when I was growing up. It was complete with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Coleslaw and a Biscuit.
Ham & Mashed Potatoes
For dinner, we made Ham & Mashed Potatoes in our Quick Cooker and Diced Squash in the microwave. Sophie loves Quick Cooker Mashed Potatoes!
Cheesy Mac
Morgan made her classic Macaroni & Cheese for dinner tonight. Nothing wrong with a little comfort food to end the workweek, right?
