For dinner, I had an Arroz con Pollo from a new (to us) place. It was different than I had before because it included vegetables … specifically, Bell Peppers and Broccoli. It was tasty!

Labor Day BBQ
I had Brisket, Pulled Pork, Smoked Sausage, Baked Beans, Potato Salad and Corn Bread. It was amazing, but I just didn’t have room for our Peach cobbler. I guess I’ll have to eat that tomorrow!
Pasta Carbonara
We had Pasta Carbonara where they rolled the hot pasta in a wheel of Parmesan. It was yummy even as takeout. We may find time in our schedule to go there in person before we leave.
Nachos and Tacos
Tonight we had takeout from a local Mexican restaurant. They got the 60% of the order wrong, but what we did receive was very tasty. We had amazing Super Nachos with Marinated Pork and Tacos with Rice and Beans. Nice meal with great company.
Pickup Mistake
After waiting an hour past the time we were told our pickup order would be ready, the food was just OK. We had a Mediterranean Lover’s Salad, a Pear-Fect Pie, Garlic Knots and Cinna-Knots. The pizza had Evoo, gorgonzola, parmesan, all natural chicken, pears, caramelized onions, balsamic glaze, cracked black pepper. It sounded better than it tasted. Oh well, live and learn. I may not visit another My Pie Pizza if there is another option.
Caprese on Ciabatta
I ordered a Caprese at Subway, and the guy behind the counter looked as if he had never heard of such a thing. Then, it was like a lightbulb went on. “Ohhhh … a Cap-rEEce.” I had to giggle. In fact I ordered a second one to see if he would do it again. Yup. Utahn-glish at its finest.
Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato & Avocado
I had a Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Avocado Sandwich and a White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie. I washed it down with a $4 bottle of water.
Fuego Alfredo
We made it to our final destination, but after the long drive, we didn’t feel like grocery shopping or cooking. So we ordered dinner online and ran and picked it up. It was only about a 10-minute drive, and the yummy food was ready for us when we arrived. It was good to get away from our normal gas station or fast food diet of the traveling days. My dinner was Fuego Alfredo, which was named after the restaurant (😁) and was a linguini Pasta with their specialty Alfredo sauce. It came with amazing ciabatta bread.
Turkey Gyro
You can see that Chicken Pecan Salad is back at Arby’s. So, after the tornado sirens stopped and the funnel disappeared, we walked over to check it out. Can you believe they were OUT of the Chicken Pecan Salad Sandwiches? How disappointing. Anyway, I ate a Turkey Gyro, Curly Fries, Mozzarella Sticks and a Jalapeño Bite. I washed it down was a Coke.
Taco Bravo
We started a road trip and stopped for the night just east of Omaha. It was late enough that the nearby restaurant was already closed. So we went to the closest thing open … Taco John’s. I ordered a Taco Bravo, and it was just enough to top me off for a good night’s sleep.
