Pickup Mistake

After waiting an hour past the time we were told our pickup order would be ready, the food was just OK. We had a Mediterranean Lover’s Salad, a Pear-Fect Pie, Garlic Knots and Cinna-Knots. The pizza had Evoo, gorgonzola, parmesan, all natural chicken, pears, caramelized onions, balsamic glaze, cracked black pepper. It sounded better than it tasted. Oh well, live and learn. I may not visit another My Pie Pizza if there is another option.

Caprese on Ciabatta

I ordered a Caprese at Subway, and the guy behind the counter looked as if he had never heard of such a thing. Then, it was like a lightbulb went on. “Ohhhh … a Cap-rEEce.” I had to giggle. In fact I ordered a second one to see if he would do it again. Yup. Utahn-glish at its finest.

Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato & Avocado

I had a Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Avocado Sandwich and a White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie. I washed it down with a $4 bottle of water.

Deli Fried Chicken

We stopped by the deli, and I ordered a Fried Chicken Dinner with Mashed Potatoes and Greek Salad. It filled our belly enough to make it out of the store without a ton of junk food. And, dinner for four was only $10.78!

Truck Stop Corn Dogs

We visited Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore today, which took longer than we had anticipated. So, dinner consisted of a run into a truck stop while filling up the tank. Two Corn Dogs did it for me (along with other munchies we ate on the road). Stopped for the night in Minnesota. Sweet dreams!
