After we finished our visiting for the day, we ordered GrubHub pickup from a place near where we are staying. It took about 25 minutes to get there, and the app said it would 25 minutes until it was ready. I arrived there at 7:30, but the food wasn’t ready. They said it would be “about 15 more minutes.”

I ran nextdoor to pick up a couple smoothies while I was waiting. When I returned at 8 o’clock, they said they were just “finishing up the order.” At 8:30, after waiting an hour to pickup my meal, it was finally ready. I told the manager that waiting an hour later than expected was unacceptable. So, he gave me a card for a free pizza next time, which I doubt there will ever be a next time.

After waiting an hour past the time we were told our pickup order would be ready, the food was just OK. We had a Mediterranean Lover’s Salad, a Pear-Fect Pie, Garlic Knots and Cinna-Knots. The pizza had Evoo, gorgonzola, parmesan, all natural chicken, pears, caramelized onions, balsamic glaze, cracked black pepper. It sounded better than it tasted. Oh well, live and learn. I may not visit another My Pie Pizza if there is another option.
